The principal provides leadership at Lafayette High School by building and maintaining a vision, by giving direction and focus to student-learning, and by creating an atmosphere of participation, responsibility, and ownership.

The members of the staff are engaged in an ongoing professional development, which helps educators appreciate the issues of diversity and exposes students to a rich array of viewpoints.

Our school is now in the process of creating small learning communities so that anonymity will be banished. Each small learning community will identify a set of essential learning requirements that students must achieve in order to graduate and be ready for college.
